Founded by David Paxton in 1979, Family Paxtons is one of the vineyard famous and most respected in Australia – this reputation was built over 30 years of experience growing and developing grapes have outstanding quality.
Paxton vineyards span a wide variety of sites and soil types, managed without compromise of planning and cultivation policies. David Paxton continues to strive to reduce the use of chemicals, synthetic fertilizers and pesticides in farming systems to manage Paxton vineyards in compliance with Bio-dynamic standards, with an emphasis on promoting soil health through the use of natural organic fertilizers. In 2011 Paxton became a fully certified organic and biodynamic wine producer.
The Paxton family has nurtured their vineyards in McLaren Vale for three decades. Internationally recognized as one of the top wine regions of Australia, McLaren Vale’s famous place to produce the sweet wine special quality, the most famous red wine. In 2021 at James Halliday’s Wine Accompanying event 2021 (2021 James Halliday’s Wine Companion) Paxton was honored by Halliday with five prestigious red stars.
